Car detailing is the careful cleaning and polishing of all car parts from top to bottom, from inside to outside. This entails cleaning both the inside and outside of a vehicle, application of pinstripes, removal of overspray from underhood, trunk lids etc. as well as polishing.

Detailing is usually done with specialized tools. Car detailing does not include paintworks and other body repairs although some car detailers include light cosmetic work and restoration.

Car detailing needs to be done by professionals to ensure that the final product is fantastic and to make sure that the car detailing does not pose a risk to the car itself.
